The final game of my Prague weekend was a 40 minute bus ride from town into district 15. SK Horní Měcholupy were taking on Slavoj Žatec in a Czech division 4 game.
The club were founded in 1932 and play at their own ground at Hornoměcholupská 300. The ground has a small covered stand with wooden benches but is pretty open to the elements.
Opposite the ground there is a fantastic brew pub, Pivovar Hostivar, with great beer and food, so that was pre-match sorted!
Inside the ground there were plenty of other groundhoppers present, mainly from Germany. after chatting to them it turned out they were following much the same itinerary as myself.
The game was ridiculously one-sided as SK Horní Měcholupy ran out 7-1 winners. The goals came from, well I will let readers decipher from the club's very own match report! http://www.skhornimecholupy.cz/news/kdo-neprisl-prohloupil/ The visitors were reduced to 10 men in the second half but the game was long gone by that stage.
A fine end to a cracking weekend in the Czech capital.
