Who'd have thought it?
It has now been 12 months since I last set foot inside Goodison Park. This is now the longest period of time without a visit there since I started going to the match back in 1984. For me it seems a depressingly long time as well.
On the 23rd February 2021 came the announcement that the proposed new stadium at Bramley-Moore dock has been given the go ahead, so the countdown until the final game at Goodison is almost certainly on. If the timescales are to be believed then there are potentially less than 50 games to go before the curtain comes down. When will ALL supporters be able to return?
The last game played in front of a full house at Goodison was a 1-1 draw with Manchester United on 1st March 2020. Below are some photographs taken between August 2019 and when the season was suspended on 13th March 2020.
I really do miss going watch the football, especially going to this famous old ground. Lets hope a proper return isn't too far away.
Onward Evertonians!
